Infection Control in North Barrington, IL

May 11, 2020

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  Our communities have been through a lot over the last few months and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same:  our office’s commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice.  We follow recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members.

We will start to see patients for routine visits June 1.  We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs as we know many of you are anxious to get back into our office.

During this time, we have implemented additional safety precautions to help protect our patients and staff.

Upon scheduling an appointment, COVID-19 screening questions will be asked.  The day before or morning of your appointment, these questions will be asked of you a second time.   Based on your answers and upon the discretion of the office staff, it might be determined best to hold off seeing you in our office for the time being.

Upon arrival at our officecall us from your car to let us know you have arrived.  A staff member will come out to greet you.  Please leave all your possessions at home or in your car (including coat, purse, etc.) except for your car keys.

Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering (one will be provided if you do not have one) and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry.  We will confirm no fever with a contactless thermometer upon your arrival.

Our waiting room will not be used, except to check out at the window after your appointment for payment and rescheduling.  Plastic screens have been installed at the front desk where you previously checked out to minimize exposure.

An Aerus Air Scrubber has just been installed in the office which will virtually eliminate contagions in the air rendering the office air 100% free of airborne toxins for the health and safety of all patients and staff.

Our doctors and staff will be wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as recommended by the CDC.  In addition, the team will be checking their own temperatures daily for your safety.

Thank you for being part of our family dental practice!  We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

We miss seeing your smiles!
